As any creator would imagine, it was a great joy to have The Book of Grey. The original but translated script written by The Operator. It holds the most honest and wise of all magic, secretly binding any readers to a life of true power.
This power however is volatile and subject to corruption if the soul of the bound reader is shrouded by darkness.
More simply, The Book of Grey is a recording of the oldest magic used by The Operator. While creating time, space, the soul and a galaxy of ecosystems, The Operator transcribed his methods into the pages of a book that he would later use as proof of his creations.
This book was handed down to fate, a man named Destin. The Book of Grey stayed with him as he controlled the Operators experiment and kept everything running smoothly.
The Book of Grey has these magics but it also contains a security system. Nothing can be seen unless a willing person reads the opening scripture. It specifically states that by reading it, you’ve become bound to its power, sharing your soul with its own.
No reader of The Book of Grey is capable of harming another because each of their souls and the soul of the magic and book is unwilling to harm another. This was done to allow readers to obtain unimaginable power but refuse them the ability to damage the system or harm their creator.
