The Council is a group of men that do not act separately. Like a single mind, they rule the governing bodies of a planet named after themselves. During the time of this story, The Council are slowly becoming corrupt and while trying to change their plans for the planet they are somewhat forced to take drastic measures against its people.
The Council are actually met at a time earlier than the book as individuals. They are 11 boys who excel in school and life. A wondering traveler Destin promises them more power, power only they would be able to handle together. Each of the boys jump on the idea and later on read from a special tome. The Book of Grey.
Bound together by its magic they become much more powerful and use this new strength to create very positive effects. As time passes they create the planet on which they live now. The six kingdom holders are scouted for their talents and brought to help grow a new community.
As the magic binding The Council grows stronger they’re consumed by it eventually meeting death.
